FUTO as the oldest University of Technology in Nigeria was established in 1980 by Executive Fiat with the Composition and appointment of the first provisional Council by Nigeria first Executive president, Shehu Shagari.

 



 

Admission Requirements

To be accepted to study at FUTO interested applicants must apply through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Exam (UTME) body having gone through each of the school requirements.

Here is the General Requirement for admission into FUTO.

Admission requirement 100 level (UTME)

1. Student must have minimum of credit passes in five subjects including English language at the SSCE, GCE, O level and any other equivalent examinations at not more than two sittings.


2. UTME score of at least 180 for all program.


3. Candidates must make FUTO as their first or second choice to qualify to write the post-utme screening test.


4. Final selection will be based on the candidte’s average scores from the UTME and post-utme screening tests.

 

Direct Entry Admission Requirement

1. Student must have minimum of credit passes in 5 subjects including English language at SSCE, GCE, O’LEVEL or equivalent qualification at not more than two sittings.


2. Must possess an HND, OND,or NCE in the relevant programme to be undertaken in FUTO.


3. An acceptable Score is prescribed for admission at the Direct Entry Screening Exercise.
